Social Journey
Ekalavya Foundation established in 2006 to help marginalized sections of the society to be self-reliant. Beginning with tribal communities in Adilabad district, pioneering work has been done in the fields of Education, Health, Livelihoods and Agriculture activities. The villagers are made partners in conception, planning and execution of activities for long and beyond sustainability.
Today Ekalavya Foundation activities spanned over 24 districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Special education program for educating the underprivileged children living in urban slums has been undertaken. One major initiative named Sendriya Mitra, for promotion of organic farming, volume based is planned and launched to bring 50000 acres under this organic farming in next 3 years, benefiting 15000 farmers covering 400 villages with steady supply of healthy and safe farm produce.
Dr. Ramanaidu Ekalavya Foundation KVK (Farm Science center), Tuniki, Medak was established on 19th May 2017 under the affiliation Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). The operational area of the KVK is whole reorganized Medak district in Telangana state. The aim of KVK is to reduce the time lag between the technology transfer from research institutions to the farmers’ field for increasing production, productivity and income from the agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis.
